Yes.Is it true that religions in some forms poison society?
I'd say that's such a broad question that the answer must be ';yes,'; at least some of the time. We could also make a case that politics, entertainment, business, education and other things...in some form or another...can ';poison'; society. I'd say that those things that promote love, compassion and understanding between people enhance humanity, and those things that promote hate and negativity take things in the other direction. Is it true that religions in some forms poison society?
Good Question!
Actually the poison we imbibed was many thousands of years ago... the various schools of thought that are called 'religions' are one of the effects of that poison - allegorically called 'eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil'.
Do not misunderstand - an organised religious group - any religion you choose, is merely a congregation of people claiming to adhere to a given school of thought or opinion of a leader, either dead or (if a newly formed 'church') still alive.
The poison has the effect of causing the mind to fall into a sleep - separated from God, our source.
This separation causes division, which the mind projects into the world and this is why the children of this world are divided, not recognising that others are our brothers and sisters.
Separated and looking for the security that we had when in conscious union with God, deceivers propagate lies in place of Truth and use force to co-erce others into accepting their rule.
The result is wars, violence, despotic leadership, etc, etc, etc.
A True religious teacher will KNOW GOD and be able to awaken others to the presence of God in their Hearts.
This is what is happening all over the world as more people awaken and realise that God is the Head of the Church and anyone else who tries to lead a 'church' is a liar who already has received their 'reward.'
God didn't creat people to poison them, and we know we don't create each other and we don't come to this world from nowhere because when we die we must be going somewhere as well, hence there must be God, if there were many Gods, they would have faught over what to be created and what not to be, probably over who to die and who to live at the same time... so it's gotta be one God... if that God created us then there must be a reason... could we figure it out on our own? God made it easy and sent us messengers and prophets to show us the way and tell us why... so all the messengers and all the religions are from the same only God, so they've got to be complementary to each other, not opposing each other!!! then God must have said His final words in the last message, what is the last message? and how do we know it's the last and one? I guess that would be the religion that believes in all messengers and all books... is there such religion? actually yes, Islam does :) how do we know it's true? what is said in the last message and what should we do? read the following, and you'll figure out for yourself:
No, not at all. Christianity is the origin of hospitals, orphanages, nursing homes, ect. It has many many social ministries whereas to my knowledge atheism has none.
Everywhere you look. The Crusades, The Inquisition, The Holocaust, 9/11, the war between Israel and Iraq, ect.
not all but some
Only in some forms??? Surely ALL forms of religion do that
in most forms I would say
Yep.
YES
sure...Scientology and Islam are two that come to mind
