In 1942, during World War 2, a group of German economists met at a well attended conference in Berlin to discuss a new concept of European political integration controlled by the Nazis. The conference was entitled 'The European Economic Community'. Later in 1944, once Germany recognised that defeat was inevitable, amazingly the Nazi push for European political integration continued. The chief question being asked in Berlin was: ';How can Germany dominate the peace when she loses the war?';





The Treaty of Rome which birthed the EU was signed in 1957. Several of the original architects were ex-Nazis. The Treaty and its subsequent amendments bear a striking resemblance to the earlier Nazi plans for the federalisation of Europe, the destruction of Britain, and the domination by Germany of the new monolithic European superstate.When will the European Union reveal its true form and unfurl the Hammer and Sickle over the European nations?
The EU is meant to be a single free marker. It has competition laws that prevent monopoly and public ownership. It seeks to ease the barriers to doing bussiness accross borders etc etc. The EU works through regulations and directives. The European parliament has made no regulations or directives in relation to social services or social programmes.Despite its plethora of competencies in other areas. In fact it seeks to minimize social programmes or at least to make sure they keep the economy 'competitive'. The goal of the EU as declared at lisbon is to make the EU the most competitive knowledge economy in the world. Not to create a social europe. This is not necessarily a good thing but its the truth. So in conclusion that day is a long way off: if ever on the agenda.
You would just love that, wouldn't you. Why are Americans so arrogant that we feel that Brits must hate their country because it's not like ours? I really do believe it is arrogance.
I think they already did. Iceland is revolting because the EU wants to put them into neo-feudalism mode.
They keep the people happy
