First, I would question the term, ';most,'; are you sure it is over 50%? Second, sadly, many humans are lazy. Example, when I used to inspect used cars for the buyer, at their expense, many ignored the paid expert's advice. Why? They didn't really want to shop, that takes time %26amp; effort, sound familiar? Why is it that in most of society religion forms our perspectives and not true belief?
Hmmm. Interesting. Most likely because we live in a society that views religion in general only as an idea and not a true concept. To expand, I personally think that it has something to do with our inherent selfish human nature. Because people in past years have learned that some religions are not worth trusting, ie certain types of cults and certain beliefs in Christianity, the fact is, people aren't willing to take that risk of accepting their faith fully. Why is it that in most of society religion forms our perspectives and not true belief?
Well many people get their ';true beliefs'; from society. It is fair to call that their true beliefs because they truly believe it, whether they have examined it or not. I think the reason behind this is not necessarily laziness but a problem of comfort zones. People are afraid to get out of the norm and are afraid of what may lie beyond, they are afraid what others may think. Also, Sometimes people are more comfortable sticking with old problem than searching for new solutions. I believe that people should ask more questions about what they believe in order to discover rather stick to what they were taught in order to please some one else. What is a true belief anyways? While I encourage everyone to examine what they believe, I am not about to say that what I believe is the truth simply because I examined it. Truth is relative. To them it is true.
