True or false...? Reaction of an acid with a base usually forms a salt plus water.?

A base is the opposite of an acid. An alkali is a base that will dissolve in water.

In general terms:

Acid + Base = Salt + Water

If the base is a carbonate, then:

Acid + carbonate Base = Salt + Water + Carbon Dioxide

If the base is a reactive metal:

Acid + Reactive Metal = Salt + Hydrogen

Hope this helpsTrue or false...? Reaction of an acid with a base usually forms a salt plus water.?
