Surely, the least evidence we could expect would be creatures moving around with partially formed wings, extra set of legs / arms / feet /ears / eyes / teeth...the list is endless. I often think i could use an extra pair of arms myself.If evolution is true, why do we not see any transitional forms?
There are many transitional forms, titaalik for example. The sad thing is it will never be good enough for some people. They say ';how do you get from A to Z?'; and scientists find M. ';how do you get from A to M and M to Z?'; And scientists find F, I, P, T and U. ';how do you get from A to F to I to P to T to U to Z?'; Just because we don't currently have a fossil of one of those organisms doesn't mean there's not one out there or that an organism like that never existed. Not every species will leave a fossil.
Arguments against evolution almost always from ignorance. This is one of the biggest ones, almost as bad as irreducible complexity.If evolution is true, why do we not see any transitional forms?
%26gt; ';If evolution is true, why do we not see any transitional forms?';
You mean like these:

http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CC/CC鈥?/a>
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tra鈥?/a>
%26gt; ';Surely, the least evidence we could expect would be creatures moving around with partially formed wings';
Chickens have only partially-functional wings; ostrich and emu have non-functional wings. Is this what you mean?
%26gt; ';extra set of legs';
';extra'; in terms of what, exactly?
Insects have six legs, arachnids have eight, crustaceans have ten or more, and myriapods have many, many more.
%26gt; ';I often think i could use an extra pair of arms myself.';
well, evolution isn't going to give you any, because:
[1] individuals don't evolve, populations do.
[2] there is no strong selective advantage to having extra limbs for humans: it wouldn't help you survive and reproduce
Evolution isn't exactly a one night process. Evolution basically comes from the mutation of genes. Mutations can be triggered from many different sources.
But if you're talking about extra arms and such, there are people that are born with 6 fingers on one hand, an extra toe, webbed hands, very hairy bodies, etc. These are the little ';evolutions';. It only becomes more 'permanent' if, for example, people find 6-fingered people really sexy and the 5-fingered boring. Thus, the 6-fingered people are able to procreate (make more babies) and so on until 5-fingered people become rare and eventually extinct. And this will take many, many, MANY, generations.
I am sure we do see it, we just don't know what we are looking at. Today's human is taller than we were even 100 years ago (or less). Evolution happens over a long period of time, not within a human lifetime ( 75 years). I read an article fairly recently, that anthropologists were surprised to find that the human species is ';still evolving';. So, think a little more about your question. As for an extra pair of arms, you need to learn to manage your time more efficiently. You would still have one brain, presumably.....
Transitional forms usually die. That is why it is called evolution, survival of the fittest. However, there are some such creatures that have been found like the Platypus, Some Fish, and extremities in whales that have no use.
Now how useful is an extra finger or arm? It will only get in the way of other parts. And why do most animals show 5 bone structures at the end of their extremities? Left over fingers? I think YES!
%26gt; why do we not see any transitional forms?
Because you keep your eyes closed. Your mind, too. Google for ';ring species.'; The species along the ';ring'; are intermediate between the species at the endpoints.
My favorite ring species is dog.
A mini-dachshund is not a gray wolf (seriously).
Other dog breeds can be considered intermediate between gray wolves and mini-dachshunds.
It happens in the form of a mutation, not as a metamorphosis. Today we are stronger faster and smarter then we were even 100 years ago. Some is due to advances in technology, but some are purely physical. Evolution is in such small stages it goes virtually unnoticed to the species.
It's evolution, not the X-Men.
Evolution is the gradual change of species over time. Google Tiktaalik or Whale evolution for excellent, clear examples of transitional fossils found in nature.
Do you know what the hox gene is? It is why secondary limbs wouldn't appear half formed.
And we do see organisms with extra limbs and fingers. Ever hear of polydactly? Its a mutation that causes extra fingers in humans
We do have transitional forms, thousands of them in fact.
Tiktaalik, Archeopteryx, Dimetrodon, Australopithecus, ect...
Were you expecting a crocoduck?
If Creationists know what they talk about, how come, they all ask stupid questions about evolution when they COULD ******* READ ABOUT IT!
Go to ****** America, you'll fit right into some Utah or something and start preaching that sex is unnatural or whatever.
We see these things all the time, they are called mutants. If a particular mutation makes an organism better suited to its environment and better able to pass on its genes, the mutated form will become predominant.
We do see some transitional forms and not for all species....it's hard to rely on fossils because we do not have access to every organism that has ever existed...instead we get snapshots of times
Because that's not how evolution works.
If you're going to criticize something, at least TRY to understand it first.
Would people being born with extra fingers satisfy your question? 'Cause I have a friend with 6 on each hand.
evolution is a lie. that is why there are no missing links. they proved it is impossible but they won't stop teaching it because the only alternative is Christianity, and they dont like the thought of them not being the highest power there is. they want to be God, thats why they hate Christianity.
well the theory of evolution isn't true
red is mean.
i think its a good question. sorry idk the answer tho. but youre right, why havent we seen anything different since it happened pretty much...
Because it's a hoax. NOT real at all imo.
