What forms do i need to file my taxes self-employed? someone told me their was a 1099 ez form is that true?

I have a feeling that you have or shortly will receive a Form 1099-MISC that indicates that you have received self-employment income as a contractor rather than as an employer, for 2006. You probably can use Schedule C-EZ which is attached to your normal tax return, Form 1040. Keep in mind that you may be able to deduct some business expenses such as local transportation and some other out of pocket expenses related to this work. The IRS has many resources for small businesses like yours on its web site. What forms do i need to file my taxes self-employed? someone told me their was a 1099 ez form is that true?
You file an individual tax return but add a Schedule C or Schedule C-EZ to report your self-employed income.

The 1099MISC is the form that would be given to you to report income you received as an independent contractor. You would issue 1099MISC to your contract labor.

There is no IRS form called 1099EZ.
